Description
Agnus (Vitex agnus-castus L.) is a shrub that grows in the beds of streams and on the banks of rivers in valleys and hills of the Mediterranean and Central Asia.
The ability to influence the levels of different hormones that control the female reproductive cycle is attributed to the agnocastus. For this reason it is believed that it can be useful in case of PMS and PMD, a particularly severe form of PMS. Supplements based on this ingredient are also proposed in case of menstrual cycle irregularities, symptoms of menopause, breast cysts, female infertility and prevention of abortion in case of low progesterone levels
