Description

Corydalis yanhusuo is a species of plant of the genus Corydalis. The tuber of this plant, often labeled as a root, is an important therapeutic agent in traditional Chinese medicine. It is native to high-altitude grasslands throughout China, including Anhui, Henan, Hubei, Hunan, Jiangsu, and Zhejiang provinces
According to the Flora of China, this herbaceous perennial produces 5 to 15 purple-blue tubular flowers in clusters that curve when opening. The round yellow tubers have a diameter of up to 2.5 cm
