Description

Grapefruit is an interesting source of naringin. This flavonoid has been extensively studied in recent years for its numerous benefits to the body. Naringin is particularly involved in the modulation of many signaling pathways in the organism. This role gives it numerous pharmacological activities including an anti-inflammatory effect and an action in bone regeneration. Researchers attribute other beneficial effects to it for the fight against oxidative stress at the origin of cellular aging, against metabolic syndrome, against certain genetic damage, against certain types of cancer or even against some diseases of the central nervous system. The therapeutic interest of naringin to combat atherosclerosis, cardiovascular disorders, diabetes, neurodegenerative diseases, osteoporosis or even rheumatic disorders should also be emphasized.
