Description

Thyme (Thymus vulgaris L.) is an evergreen plant belonging to the Labiate family (which also includes rosemary and lavender), native to the western Mediterranean area. It grows spontaneously in all temperate climate regions in well-drained soil. The very small leaves are usually light green in color and give off an intense aroma. Thyme is a useful herb against asthma, colds and headaches, also used as a natural remedy for tired skin and oily hair.
